Swedish massage is the standard massage of all RMTs. Pressure and specific techniques can vary, but it's defined as “the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissue and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain.” Massage Therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body, general health and overall well-being. Massage Therapy may be used to maintain and improve physical health and can also ease the effects of physical pain. (CMTO.com, 2023)
Using supportive pillows to treat in a side-lying position, prenatal massage is a safe and effective way to treat the aches and pains of pregnancy. Treatment will focus on leg, hip and back pain, but your therapist will work with you to ensure the treatment addresses your needs specifically.
Once you're ready, post-natal massage offers relief from the aches and pains that come during the first few weeks of taking care of your new baby. Your therapist works with you to make sure you're comfortable, and you may choose to continue treatment in the side lying position, or remain on your back for the length of treament.
Sports treatments generally focus on one specific area in order to help with injury rehabilitation or chronic muscle pain. The treatments tend to be shorter in length, and the client can choose to remain fully clothed.

General Manual lymphatic drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (Vodder technique) is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that encourages lymph flow from the tissues to the lymph nodes. MLD is used to ease swelling and relieve discomfort, specifically post-injury and during pregnancy. Treatments generally combine both MLD and some massage, and will focus on 1-2 areas of concern.
